je traduisais "driver" par circuit : un circuit qui en commande un autre, ça me semble assez courant en électronique.

neutral Tony M : Yes, I rather think the 'driver' part is essential here; I'm assuming it's a power sage of sme kind driving into the phase shift stage, do you think that would be correct?

Yes, but I would think in electronics a circuit can "drive" a phase shift, innit?
