If you are unavailable ou refuse delivery of your tickets, we may place the tickets back for sale on consignment and act as your agent to attempt to recover some or all of your costs.

Literally, "sale on consignment" = dépôt vente. This is clearly explained in the text itself, since the said tickets are made available for resale: should they be sold, the failing owner would recover all or part of his costs, and if they are not, he will have lost his money.
It is a bit the same as some hoteliers do: if you are a no-show, they will try to find a replacement occupier for the room, otherwise they will charge you.

In this instance, I would say: "... nous pourrons les remettre en vente pour votre compte..."

Def: goods shipped for sale or other purpose, the title remaining with the shipper (consignor), for which the receiver (consignee), upon acceptance, is accountable.

Obs: the consignee may be the eventual purchaser, amy act as an agent through which the sale is effected or may ortherwise dispose of the goods inaccordance with an agrrement with the consignor.
