If you knew what specific 'assets' these were, you could probably find a more precise term; but clearly here, you are looking for a very general term to cover all possibilities, so I think your choices are a bit limited.
Do note that this is 'the management of fleets and assets', so I think the def. article would be out of place, even in FR.

Well, to some extent, it's the same redundancy as in the S/T; personally, I'd simplify it in FR. But you have overlooked the all-important issue with the def. article.
