English term

lily limp

English to Chinese Social Sciences History
All his journeys had their hazards. But on his fourth and last trip to China, returning with a load of Lilium regale bulbs, a landslide nearly swept him away. His companions splinted his shattered leg with his camera tripod, but it later withered, leaving him what he called his "lily limp."

Because his companions splinted his shattered leg with his camera tripod, he called it 'lily limp
