أتفق مع رأي الزميل البستاني - it can be both, depending on the particular duties in that position. If he is going to be trading in monies/shares, etc. FOR the compnay, then Bustani's is the choice.

If this the head of the Trading Department, then I think Sam's answer is the best. However, if it is not, as I understand from your note, then this is my suggestion.
I know in companies they have: senior accountant = محاسب أول
So, I think we can use the same method.

On the basis of the job description I just posted - trading in two of my Financial dictionaries is defined as معاملة / تعامل في المال in addition to the standard متاجرة.

The term "Senior" implies there are other "junior" traders in the department, and he is responsible for that team... maybe كبير مسؤولي المعاملات المالية؟

Thanks Sam, that sounds more like it. I'm not so sure about the مدير though. In the job description you posted, the senior trader reports to the Head of Trading. Also, I think there may be more than one senior trader in the same department. So maybe مسؤول?
