- Condensate System. Efficient condensate recovery is essential to reduce water consumption and maximize energy efficiency. The steam system, after exhausting its usable heat energy, returns hot water to be cleaned, deaerated and reused. An efficient condensate return system saves energy, and indirectly reduces fuel consumption and associated emissions, reduces water consumption, reduces chemical treatment and reduces effluent treatment costs. The return condensate system will comprise condensate storage, condensate cooler(s), and a polishing filtration package made up of sand, carbon and mixed cat-ion and ion bed to produce the necessary quality condensate suitable for HHP steam generation. The return condensate (after treatment) will be a sent to the deaerators.
