The word "mystique" has not been used correctly in this sentence.

In order to be correct, the author should have written something like:

Indeed, it has a mystique of its own.

Meaning:

1.A fascinating aura of mystery, awe, and power surrounding someone or something.
2.An air of secrecy surrounding a particular activity or subject that makes it impressive or baffling to those without specialized knowledge.

Note that the word does not by itself mean mysterious or غامض.

It is more that it contains an *aura* of this mystery or other impressive quality.
