Danish term

trofik

Danish to English Medical
Sentences:

Overekstremiteter: egal trofik tonus bilateralt

Underekstremiteter: der er frie led, normal tonus og trofik

The only similar words I can find in English seem to relate to food (trophic) or change (tropic), neither of which I could relate to examinations of a patient's extremities.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

trophic

trophoc pertains to nutrition, and if there are no trophic changes, it usually means that there are changes caused by a patient's nutritional status, i.e. dehydration, weight gain, weight loss, etc.

agree Christina Clark : A-Z Medicinsk ordbog siger 'som berører tilvæksten eller næringstilstanden hos celler og væv'.

trophic/nutritional

'Nutritional' may refer to the amount of nutrition flowing past, i.e. blood flow, enzymes, etc. that 'feed' the cells in the extremities.
