Postage-paid

Postage-paid

This is a very widely-used expression both in the US and UK
'Please reply in the enclosed postage-paid envelope'

--- Not elegant English, but short, concise and universally understood!

The hyphen should be there if the expression comes before the noun (envelope or postcard) but not after it.

The attached reply coupon is postage paid.
Peer comment(s):

agree Lingua Danica : Postage Paid is often used and matches the common short form is P.P. (of French origin: Port Payé)

2 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you - May not be exactly it - since this is not only Postate Paid but a mail item where postage is paid by Post Danmark itself. So it is not a normal freepost/postage free item. But I think this is the best answer! Maybe Jande's version Post item - Postage Paid"

letter/parcel (exempt from postage)

On Post Danmarks home page (see link) they use

"Exempt from postage" for items that can be "sendt portofrit"

"postsag" - my best bet would be letter/parcel

In US letters are stamped "No postage necessary if mailed in U.S"

and in the UK I believe "No stamp necessary if posted within UK"

Hope this helps

mail item (free postage)

"mail item" is a common expression covering both parcels and letters while the most common translation for "sendes portofrit" would be "free postage" - just check it out on Google

freepost

If the text is to go in a little square where you would usually put a stamp, this is often used. Should be in capitals in that case.
