Why don't you enter this as a response, by the way?
Arabic & More (asker) Oct 10, 2014:
Thanks, Olfat. This helps because I wasn't sure if it was specifically Christmas Eve. I didn't realize it could also be Easter Eve.
Olfat Abdullah Oct 10, 2014:
Hi Amel,
This is the night before the actual celebration or holiday. And since they are Christian, then I do not recommend "Eid". It could be Christmas Eve, Easter Eve..etc.

Easter "Day" or "Eve"?
Easter Eve is the day between Good Friday and Easter Day. It represents the one full day that Jesus was dead. Is is also sometimes known as Holy Saturday.

Most Churches do not have any services on Easter Eve until the Midnight service to start the celebrations of Easter Day.

Easter Eve / Holy Saturday is also the last day of Lent.

This day is also sometimes incorrectly called Easter Saturday (and was by me until I learnt better!). Easter Saturday is the Saturday following Easter Sunday, not the day between Good Friday and Easter Sunday!
