: 'where r u today?' is 'weinek elyoum' not 'Yainek elyoum', otherwise it might be another dilect away from Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian and Jordanian, I reckon. Could you Shannon include an Arabic transcript of the first word at least. It'll be helpful.

this is a gulf dialect, they pronounce the "g" sound in Arabic > "J" sound. I mean the "Y" sound for none-specialist.

: If it is Egyptian accent it would be 'gai'enik elyoum', if it is with other known dilects like I mentioned above, it wuould be 'jai'enik elyoum'. Otherwise, using 'y' means the person pronouncing it is teethless.
