Actually, 'author', 'writer' and 'compiler' also give an appropriate meaning. So, if the job included researching and writing or authoring. Then the Auther is going to be our best bet.

| I initially thought مصنف meant 'ranked' or 'graded' as it refers to job grades but it can mean 'author', 'writer' 'compiler' too so I thought they wanted a researcher who has published research articles - confusing! |
