ANNAHDA

In 1956 I delivered a new dredger from Leith Scotland to Benghazi Libya for the Libyan Ports Authority. It was named the ANNAHDA and I still wonder about the actual translation. I should be very pleased to have some qualified suggestions. Many thanks to you all.

It has two meanings depending on the text, could be the revival or upswing, growth and rise. I think those second suggestions are an answer to your question.
