: S'il s'agit d'une phrase telle "a product that sells the sizzle", pourquoi ne pas se limiter à traduire par "un produit emballant"?

: An echo of: "to sell the sizzle not the steak" i.e. aim to persuade a purchase via selling the feeling not directly the product itself.

Mais naturellement...but how do the French say "sell the sizzle"?

English term (edited):
sell the sizzle
vendre l'intangible
I don't think that the literal translation would work very well, however, if you need to keep it literal, you could say:
(grésillement is the literal translation of sizzle, but it doesn't sound nearly as nice in French).

"Don't sell the steak. Sell the sizzle." In today's service business, author Beckwith suggests this old marketing adage is likely to guarantee failure. In this timely addition to the management genre, Beckwith summarizes key points about selling services learned from experience with his own advertising and marketing firm and when he worked with Fortune 500 companies. The focus here is on the core of service marketing: improving the service, which no amount of clever marketing can make up for if not accomplished.
