French term

la vision a plus de maturité

Discussion

Dylan Edwards Oct 26, 2004:
I quite like "the vision has grown", though this might be taken to mean that the vision has simply become bigger (more ambitious!). "The vision has matured" is another phrase that came to mind, but it sounds a bit pretentious to me.
Non-ProZ.com Oct 26, 2004:
Dylan No, this is the one and only mention of the word "vision"
Non-ProZ.com Oct 26, 2004:
Would "the vision has grown" be correct?

Is there a specific mention of a \"vision\" earlier in the text? If so, \"the vision\" would make a bit more sense.

Our view of the Internet has matured OR Our way of seeing the Internet is now more mature

the vision they are talking about is the vision of the Internet. It refers back to all the questions in the preceding paragraph, which are ....not vision....VIEW, IMO

all the preceding things show that people know the internet better in general. ergo, their view of the internet has matured...

vision in French = vision AND view in English...
Peer comment(s):

agree Tony M : Oh yes, Yes, YES! Jane (sorry, that's agreement, not orgasm!). Maybe even: "Today's view is more mature, and technological advance is a reality" ?

neutral df49f (X) : NOT a disagreement but a doubt: vision par le marché/l'industrie de ce que est à venir # aux "pré-visions erronées" du passé - ma compréhension de Française serait "mature vision->better ability to foresee" plutôt que "view", but then??
