English term

disclaimer

English to German Art/Literary Internet, e-Commerce informal legal jargon
I am translating the below text from English into German and would like to know how to render the word disclaimer. Would Ausschlussklausel be sufficient. Obviously this is not a legal context as suggested by the glossary.

"Disclaimer: My full use of this and other forums has been restricted for reasons unknown, so please forgive my lack of direct support for answers offered by other contributors and critical assessment of non-contributors who are misleading and/or abusive."

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Aniello has insisted that the word disclaimer in this context should not be treated as legal jargon, this despite my having referred to it as an informal variety thereof. Although I am very satisfied with the meaning of the terms Haftungsausschluss and Haftungsausschlussklausel in this context, their use in a nonlegal setting appears to be inappropriate within the German context. English appears to be more flexible in this regard. When I first saw Expat's suggestion, I thought what a good idea. As time passed and more people contributed; however, I realized that Hinweis has a very strong directive connotation that is simply out-of-place here. Although the purpose of the passage is to direct the reader's attention to an abnormal, pernicious, and persistent condition; it neither commands nor strongly recommends that action be taken by anyone. It is far more an alert or informative cautionary signal for improved judgment on the part of the reader. RomEst's suggestion appears to reflect better the motivation for my having had to create the disclaimer, rather than the purpose for which the disclaimer is obviously intended. This, of course, brings me to Peter's entry, which Expat has indeed seconded. The term Einschraenkung provides the reader with a very good title to what follows in the passage, as my use of ALL language pairs has been unnecessarily restricted by monitors of only one language pair, who appear oblivious to my overall performance and acceptance on other ProZ.com language pair bulletin boards. This overextension of authority is clearly abusive and in my opinion an important short-coming of the way in which ProZ.com language pairs are managed. Thus, I award my points to Peter and say thank you all for your useful input -- especially Aniello's persistence in an activity that I myself have been denied without clear warning or explanation, this despite several appeals through proper channels in an effort to clarify the matter. An ardent, but distant Peronist, Hamo "

In this context, I would perhaps move away from legal terminology altogether. Here, "disclaimer" is more used in the sense of "N.B.", so sth like "Hinweis:" would do the job nicely.
