One more thing, armaat: He may drive vehicles less than 26,001 lbs (i.e. 11,8 t), so imho a truck...
Non-ProZ.com Jul 8, 2004:
I've thought of "regular", too. But then, why the note "under 21" and the licence expires 2008, and is "REG" until 2007?

regular

Drivers licenses are issued for the type of vehicle to be driven. A "regular" drivers license is issued for operating a non-commercial motor vehicle. A "commercial" drivers license (CDL) is issued to operate commercial motor vehicles.
There are six drivers licenses. They are:
Regular Class A
Regular Class B
Regular Class C
CDL, Class A
CDL, Class B
CDL,Class C

registered

Das ist die Abkürzung, also registriert. Was das hier konkret bedeutet, kann ich allerdings nicht sagen. Vielleicht muss man sich unter 21 registrieren lassen.

regular

Probably just regular driving license, i.e. not for trucks, motorcycles etc.

To Whom it May Concern,

I am currently in the process of translating a Georgia-issued driver licence into the German language. I cam accross an abrreviation that I was not familiar with. (Abkürzung und wo es auf dem Fühererschein ist). Could you please specify for me exactly what this means?

Thank you so much for your time.

Sincerely yours,
