Spanish term

leche aditada

Spanish to English Medical Medical (general) Oncology/Bacteriology

What type of milk are they referring to? Any suggestions? THANKS!!!

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I choose this one because 'enriched' and 'fortified' give the idea that the bacteria are being added for nutritional purposes."

enriched milk

This is most common to me. One often sees milk advertized as "2% milk enriched with vitamins A,D" etc. (EE.UU)

Suerte.

fortified milk

I don't know why, but WHO avoids the word "enriched." However, I'm not sure that this is the meaning of "leche aditiva."
