fibromyalgia
A neurologic basis [of fibromyalgia] has been proposed in which the increased autonomic tine in the area of the trigger point causes vasoconstriction with buildup of metabolites that irritate nerve endings, resulting in pain. This results in a reverberating cycle not much different than in complex regional pain syndrome.
