Spanish term

entremuros

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Ships, Sailing, Maritime

Anjo Sterringa May 24, 2004:
Is it the port of Ensenada? Then it seems to be the name of the quay....!!!
Sandy T May 24, 2004:
how about 'the activity between the piers'??

movement within port

Or similar, I would think:
Pilotage is compulsory for any ship movement within port waters. Notification of a ship's ETA should be given to the Shipping Control Section seven days in advance. Once ETA is confirmed

2. Pilotage

For piloting a vessel within or outside the Port limit. The pilotage dues payable shall be as follow:

>> Movement Within Port Limits

(a) Vessels proceeding to or from any point within Port limits inclusive of Berths, jetties and anchorages,

but excluding Single Bouy Mooring:

Even if it does not give much more info or correct terminology....
Distinction is made between the following ways of ordering a pilot for vessels:
a. ordinary vessels;
b. deep draft vessels;
c. vessels departing from anchorages nr 4 or nr 5; coming from inland waterways;
d. departing or shifting from a berth in port or entry in pilotage area from inland waterways.

I am baffled.
