Spanish term

Ingeniería Telemática

Spanish to English Social Sciences Education / Pedagogy Degree course titles
SPAIN: The literal translation would appear to be "Telematics Engineering", but all the universities offering this kind of degree seem to be from Spain or other Spanish-speaking countries like Mexico. I've tried for a while now to find any universities from English-speaking countries offering degree courses in "Telematics Engineering", so I assume they must be called something else. I would be grateful for any suggestions or links about this.

Discussion

Andrew Bramhall Jun 20:
"Telematics" isn't a commonly used word in Eng; although if you do something 'por vía telemática' in Spanish, you are doing it online.
Toni Castano Jun 19:

ICT engineering

telemática is synonymous with Tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones (TIC).

Asker's ST extract Se buscan perfiles principalmente con titulaciones en Ingeniería Informática, Ingeniería de Telecomunicaciones o ***Ingeniería Telemática*** refers to three distinct but interrelated (and to some extent overlapping) study programmes:
- information technology (IT) primarily focussed on data processing;
- communications technology (COMs) primarily focussed on transmission networks; and
- information and communication technology (ICT), which is concerned with the interworking of IT and COMs systems.

https://www.netvisie.be/ict-engineering/
"ICT engineering refers to the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) that focuses on the design, development, implementation, and management of information systems and communication networks. It involves the integration of various technologies to facilitate the storage, processing, transmission, and retrieval of information. Here are key aspects of ICT engineering"

Office automation engieering

'Telemática' comes from 'Ofimatique' (French) in the French effort (under De Gaulle) to use French non-mainstream words.

University Bachelor programs
Harokopio University of Athens has a four-year full-time program of study. I've seen several references for Bachelor in Telematics, though I think I'd translate it as Degree in Telematics Engineering
Note from asker:
Valencia, Barcelona, Extremadura… All offer what they call "Telematics Engineering" degrees, but I have yet to find any with similar titles in the UK or US. Not that the one in Austria is now called "information and computer engineering", which is basically just "IT engineering". The client is a Spanish company operating in several countries worldwide, so the query is just out of personal interest for my own purposes. Perhaps my Google has configured itself to only provide Spanish results because it knows I'm located in Spain...?

Note from asker:
I can't see any degree courses with the word "telematics" in the titles, except (mainly) in Spain, where there are several. What I need to know is what these same courses would be called in English-speaking countries like the US or UK
