These "gasoil" translations are abundant on internet but I find them with no equivalent in period literature.
I like you mentioning OST 8842 as this factsheet can help a specialist understand what it is.
I also will note a term I found: "Diesel Fuel Oil" talking what appears to be "gазойль" in a CIA report from the time period about Soviet fuels.
