Auftakt: intial, prelude, prologue, Der Große Eichborn. The asker's location of Bavaria suggests a Southern German provenance, Auftakt - as the discussian entrants will be aware of - being a hackneyed and over-used term in the Austrian media, not only fpr Auftaktspiele / soccer matches.

Between the two components Auftakt and Kommunikation, the former seems to be the easier one to translate because the concept isn't hard to define. Kommunikation, on the other hand, may be harder to handle translation-wise because the concept is pretty broad, and (English) translations often don't come across well if they're either too technical or too vague.
