Shoring I think the best word would be shoring, rather than jacking up. As in 'stutten': Shore the car with beams or whatnot (maybe even a jack) then bleed the air and voilà the car is made stable. Makes sense?Thanx for your suggestions!

I don't really have more though: the file contains subtitles for a rescue manual, the pictures are not included thoughIt's definitely about stabilizing a car after a collision. But I have no idea if it is with jacks, lifting bags, or whatever weird material they use.(see: halmatro)I had hoped it would be a specific term used by fire brigades.Thanx.

I agree with Kate that more context is needed, but before letting the air out of tyres you would logically have to jack up the vehicle first.
