English to French Tech/Engineering Computers: Systems, Networks Sort options

Part of help files for an Interlibrary loan system. Regarding sort options for a search of library holdings... it says

"The holdings displays can be sorted by library defined rules before being displayed. This is configured in the Windows Admin.Client. They can be sorted on

Location GROUP: Sort the holdings by groups that the requester/responder belong in. The more remote the connection between requester/responder, the **higher the sort value (i.e. ****lower rank***). If both locations belong to the same group, the ***rank will be higher***.

I think I understand the meaning but I can't manage to find a proper concise translation for the parts between asterisks...
