Hello,
I am working on a consent form for the COVID-19 vaccination. Under the section named "injection site," choices are listed to describe where the vaccine is to be injected. So, it goes like this:
IM/SQ
L/R
PLUA/DELTOID
Now I understood everything else, but I couldn't find out what PLUA stands for.
Can you please explain it to me?
Thanks in advance!

it seems the location is the upper arm, below the shoulder maybe 5 inches and in the soft tissue to avoid nerves and arteries. only a suggestion.
bakmak isteyebilir https://www.ismp.org/resources/prevent-shoulder-injuries-dur... quote SIRVA is a shoulder injury triggered by the incorrect injection of a vaccine into the shoulder capsule (joint) rather than the deltoid muscle. It is caused by using an incorrect IM injection technique or improper landmarking of the IM injection site (the deltoid muscle) that results in the unintended injection of the vaccine (and/or trauma from the needle) into and around the underlying bursa of the shoulder. This results in an inflammatory process that causes injury to the musculoskeletal structures of the shoulder (e.g., tendons, ligaments, bursae).1-3
