I am stuck on this term, "Piastra Polifunzionale", I was thinking of just leaving it in Italian. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated :)

La Piastra Polifunzionale nasce all'interno di un importante programma di rinnovamento tecnologico e strutturale.
Il rinnovamento strutturale era necessario perché l'articolazione dei comparti operatori non corrispondeva più alle esigenze di un ospedale moderno. È stato pertanto necessario ottimizzare sia le risorse umane che sia quelle tecnologiche.

: When you follow the link above, the heading says "Multifunctional" hospital module. This seems more authentic in English. Also, I would use "building" as a translation for "piastra."

Thank you Joseph. I guess both terms might be used, but I agree about 'building' sounding more natural in English than 'module'
