Italian term
metalli alcalino ferrosi

Medical
Medical: Pharmaceuticals
Veterinarian ophthalmology
This is from a brochure meant for veterinarians. It lists the advantages of a certain brand's ophthalmic solution.
The term appears on a list of properties of edetate disodium:
"Potente antisettico.
Chelante del calcio e dei metalli alcalino ferrosi."
A Google search brings up many results for "metalli alcalino TERROSI" but nothing for "FERROSI".
Do you think this may be a typo or is there a translation for this?
Thank you in advance

alkaline ferrous metals
Given that the product in question is used in a chelation process to detox animals, the term "metalli alkalino-ferrosi" would be correct. It's just missing the hyphen.
