Spanish term

traumatismo craneoencefálico y toráxico

Non-PRO FVA Spanish to English Medical Medical (general)
Hello, this is for a death certificate - it says ".... a consecuencia de traumatismo craneoencefálico y toráxico, por proyectiles de arma de fuego...."
I was wondering if it is too simple to say "as a result of a traumatic brain and chest injury" or is that too simple and I should use technical words like "cranioencephalic?" I see that it seems that the correct spelling is "torácico" but I am copying my original here.
Thank you!

Your version works, though I would use "head" instead of "brain".

Your version is fine.

traumatic brain and chest injury

Hola. Copio la entrada para Traumatic Brain Injury del diccionario del Dr. Navarro en Cosnautas:

traumatic brain injury

traumatic brain injury: traumatismo craneoencefálico (→ injury, → head injury 2).

En inglés, es muy habitual el uso del acrónimo TBI.

Por otro lado, aquí dejo una referencia para Chest Trauma: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK482194/

Saludos,
Mónica
