charley horse / stitch

Leg and muscle cramps ("charley horse" or "stitch") are common. They often occur during exercise, especially during hot weather, or at night. Dehydration or low levels of potassium in the body and using a muscle that is not stretched well may cause cramps.

disagree Carlos Diaz de Leon : Sorry, don't mean to be rude, but a stomach cramp can be caused by many things, upset stomach and gastritis, for example

not that I believe that \'stitches\' apply here but just a general correction to what seems to be a common misconception

Peer comment(s):

agree Valentini Mellas : So I gather that this is a yes? :) That we *could* say butterflies? Because afterall an exam is stress of anticipation on how well you wil do :)

well I think the question is pain through "exercise"
disagree neilmac : Not the same as cramps or a stitch, I'm afraid ./
13 mins
exactly! not the same I agree with that.
agree Refugio : Stomach cramps (without "muscle") ; Valentini, you can't call this butterflies

Ruth the cramps could be inside, for example, in the intestines [gas] or because of menstruation and you would still say 'stomach cramps'
