Italian term

Diritti partecipativi

Italian to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
This is in a list of items connected with shares and securities issued by a company. It's just a list and this item is on its own. Any help would be appreciated. (The item above it in the list is 'diritti patrimoniali', which I found means 'voting rights' in the Proz terminology database.
Thanks for any help.

Hi Phil Had a read of Borsa spa the Treccani and here https://www.diritto24.ilsole24ore.com/avvocatoAffari/mercati...
and decided your comment was right. The right to "participate" in votes and the running of the company and the right to participate in "diritti patrimoniali" dividends and redemptions. However, if you are translating texts which are designed to be easily understood, I don't think "participatory rights" says anything to any one unacquainted with literal translations. Is there not a better, clearer, plainer way to say "participatory" rights that covers the right to vote and the right to receive profits and related rights?
philgoddard Jul 22, 2020:
mrrafe No, it was meant for this question, where Christine says she thinks it means voting rights.

I diritti partecipativi dei soci nelle società Tra le diverse questioni interpretative riguardanti i “particolari diritti” in parola, assume quindi significativo rilievo quella concernente il loro contenuto, posto che l’art. 2468, comma terzo, c.c. menziona solamente “l’amministrazione della società o la distribuzione degli utili”.

Patrimonial Phil, I think you intended this comment for another, separate question from same asker. It turned up on this post instead.
philgoddard Jul 21, 2020:
"Diritti patrimoniali" doesn't mean "voting rights" as far as I'm aware.

equity membership rights

- as opposed to equity interests as stakes in a business, though my Thames Estuary audio-typists preferred turning out ungarnished steaks.

Does indeed overlap with Diritti patrimoniali, whilst equity denotes both profit-sharing and running of the show cf. the equity partners of UK law firms in general and City of London reptile Solicitors in particular vs. salaried partners.
Example sentence:

Equity Memberships include the right to vote on major club decisions, and the ability to govern.
