Johannes Gleim Nov 13, 2018:
It's a requirement for assembly. Each assembly shold be tightened with bolts uniformly in order not to overstress any part or bolt.
Kim Metzger Nov 13, 2018:
bolted uniformly would mean that equal torque is applied to each bolt - einheitlich? But here we're talking about an assembly that is screwed/bolted.

yesssss Steffen's "bolted" may well be appropriate

agree Ramey Rieger (X) : Or just 'screwed together securely'

agree Steffen Walter : ... although I would use "bolted" because we seem to be talking about metal/steel rather than wood in this case. Instead of unit, "assembly" might be another option.

neutral Johannes Gleim : "to a single unit" rather than "into a single unit". The unit is no package to put all components into.
9 hrs
no: "to a single unit" suggests there is some unit that exists that they are being screwed/bolted to, which is not the case. Michael's "to form" is probably clearest.
agree writeaway : into. oeuf corse

Tightening bolts in a series of passes rather than applying full torque on the first pass allows time for relaxation. This procedure also pulls the joint together uniformly.
