Spanish term

grifo de salida

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) Water Treatment and Slaug
Grifo de salida?
As opposed to a grifo de entrada?
It doesn't make any sense. A grifo (tap, faucet), by definition is an "exit" device.
In any case, exit tap and outflow tap give dubious results, but just using "tap" seems a bit bold

El Responsable del Plan de Control del Agua (Técnico de Calidad)de xxx realiza la verificación del sistema de potabilización del agua mediante medidas en el grifo de salida (ETAP), que se efectúan diariamente

drain valve

A faucet, or tap, is basically a valve with a specialized output tube, to direct the flow in a certain direction &/or to provide a means to attach a hose or other tubing to carry the flow to the desired location.
A drain valve is used to provide a way to let fluid out of a tank or pond.

grifo de entrada / salida tiene sentido si se trata de un tanque o depósito, q se llena y vacía
:-)
Peer comment(s):

neutral Thomas Walker : Theoretically, this expression could work; but this is just not common usage in this meaning in English. "Output tap" is a fairly common term in electronics, with an analogous meaning.: what is being let out is electrical current, not water.
