chives, thick-leaved / thick leaves

agree Dr Sophie Louisa Bennett : Thick leaved may be okay. 'Stem' also used = tube-shaped. What variety? Royal Horticultural Society uses the term 'Fine Leaved' for one variety: https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/grow-your-own/herbs/chives. There are 'robust' -leaved or -stemmed varieties.

disagree Klaus Beyer : Chives have the shape of sprouts, certainly not that of leaves

Leaves come in many shapes and forms. Chives definitely have leaves (even if those leaves are not what you and I would call 'leave-shaped'). See references, especially the link to the Royal Horticultural Society in Dr Bennett's comment above yours.

chives, with large scapes

neutral philgoddard : I don't think most people will know this word. Botany is one of my specialist subjects, and I hadn't come across it.
