Unfortunately I don't have much context other than these two terms both come from a chemical SDS. I'm being asked the difference between the strings "不要催吐" and "切勿誘嘔". Traditional/simplified characters aside, I don't really see the difference other than degree of formality. Would it be safe to say that the former would be optimal for a simplified Chinese document, and the latter would be optimal for traditional, specifically Taiwan?
