Spanish term

tecnica de reposición del músculo elevado

I have this as "...the elevated muscle repositioning technique," but I can't find reference to exactly that.

Open to your thoughts.

Reinserción (reposición, recolocación) versus Resección

Advancement and resection A little bit of online exploration has led me to understand that the muscle is advanced (repositioned) first, then a piece of it is resected to make it shorter.

Cheers Chema! Now I understand. I was just passing through and am busy with my own work, so didn't research it any further. Handy to know for future occasions :-)

Levator muscle repositioning Your intuition is correct, neilmac. As for elevado it is most surely a typo; elevador.
Reposición del músculo elevador del párpado.
I.e. reposition of levator muscle;
levator muscle repositioning

Muscle repositioning technique Gets plenty of hits, so I'd have no reservations about using that. However, that leaves the doubt about whether to use "elevated" or "raised" as the translation for "elevado"… FWIW, "elevated muscle" gets more hits than "raised muscle".

levator muscle advancement technique

The attachment of the levator muscle into the cephalad portion of the levator muscle into the cephalad portion of the levator aponeurosis can be identified and easily dissected in order to perform the procedure of detachment and advancement to the tarsal plate. This procedure for ptosis has been successful in management in moderate to severe ptosis and in some cases has actually increased the muscle function, thereby enhancing the result.

agree Muriel Vasconcellos : I found several other reliable references.

Thanks Muriel
agree Chema Nieto Castañón : Levator advancement sounds very close to the technique of Reinserción de la aponeurosis del músculo elevador. External levator advancement: https://www.aao.org/bcscsnippetdetail.aspx?id=7ac50ac4-1aa3-...

levator muscle resection technique

músculo elevado here makes reference to the levator [palpebrae superioris] muscle

I forgot to mention that the original should say músculo elevador

agree Chema Nieto Castañón : Not sure though about resection versus reposition. Again, the original does probably refer to the Reinserción de la aponeurosis del músculo elevador rather than to Resección del músculo elevador.
