French to English Bus/Financial Real Estate REAL ESTATE INVESTMENTS

My understanding, in this instance, is that the word (Swiss French...) refers to a professional whose job is to investigate the real estate market on behalf of potential buyers, and possibly to launch negotiations up to the stage when the actual buyer takes over. The word - Dutch origin - does not appear in any accessible dictionary ! Thank you all.

writeaway May 8, 2018: Canvasser isn't an answer it's just what's in the Dutch dictionary. Why a Dutch-origin word is in a Swiss doc is beyond me

writeaway May 8, 2018: Canvasser is the English translation of the Dutch. I generally find that one needs to know German and French for most Swiss text and Dutch and French for most Belgian texts.
