English term

Drops exceed 10ft (approx. 3 m) hose tied off to rigid support

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Engineering: Industrial Hydroblasting
It's a text on safety awareness when using high pressure hose. This specific bullet point refers to what the hose must conform to:

Drops exceed 10ft (approx. 3 m) hose tied off to rigid support.

I assume "drops" doesn't refer to "water drops" but to a physical environment, but I don't seem to quite understand what it means. Any suggestions?

Thank you very much in advance!

Best regards,
Sara

En la industria donde trabajaba nos referíamos a esto como "altura", por ejemplo, cuando se ejecutaba un trabajo a más de 3 metros, había potencial de "caída en altura" y el trabajador debía utilizar un cabo de vida.
