Me and Ahmad found out I was a moon sign, and I wasn't getting enough crystal in my diet.

Discussion

Roni_S Sep 4, 2017:
Hmm When I was a teenager, the horoscope section of my favourite girly mag very frequently called those born under the Cancer sign 'moonbabies'. I have always thought this was pretty standard astrology.
David Hollywood Sep 4, 2017:
crystal clear?
Charles Davis Sep 4, 2017:
@David I think you're probably right. New-age astrological stuff is ripe for parody, let's face it. I must admit I'd been wondering about crystal in the diet, which sounds like nonsense too.
David Hollywood Sep 4, 2017:
I think this is some kind of parody and would just see it as "moon sign"
S.J (asker) Sep 3, 2017:
Unfortunately, the context is correct
katsy Sep 3, 2017:
here is where it is from http://transcripts.foreverdreaming.org/viewtopic.php?f=706&t...
A transcript of what appears to be an ad for some kindof healer/guru/visionary, Ahmad, who has helped people turn their lives around. The quote continues: "Now, I live in a beautiful home. Ahmad gave me the answers I was looking for"
There is nothing missing. Are we to assume that the person talking has misinterpreted what he was told, e.g. Ahmad told him his moon sign was xxx, and he just heard "moon sign"?
Charles Davis Sep 3, 2017:
@Tony Possibly.
Tony M Sep 3, 2017:
@ Charles Possibly some other kind of astrology?
Charles Davis Sep 3, 2017:
Doesn't make sense Astrological signs are grouped according to the elements: there are earth signs, air signs, fire signs and water signs, three of each. It doesn't make sense to say "I was a moon sign". Everybody has a moon sign; it simply means the sign in which the moon was located when you were born, as opposed to your sun sign (the one everybody knows). So I don't know what this is supposed to mean, unless there's a word missing ("I was a moon sign Pisces" or "I was a Gemini moon sign", for example).
Tony M Sep 3, 2017:
Astrological signs? Some signs are grouped, I think as 'sun' (hot, fiery) and 'moon' (cool, silvery)

sign your moon is in (Cancer?)

Any more context? I agree there might be something missing but, if not...

As Charles and Tony have said, this is about astrological signs. People talk more often of sun signs, especially in Western astrology as these are more well known. But each of the 12 signs is ruled by a planet with the Moon "natural ruler" of Cancer so this person might be a Cancerian or may just (or also!) have the Moon prominent in his natal chart, either in a sign or in a House (natural 4th House) or with a particular position

The Moon is said to affect the emotions so someone with this planet strong in their chart can be sensitive and emotional and perhaps like to be babied or be a mothering type

Ah, so it's not really serious? A parody or comedy TV show? Making fun of "healers" and gurus in a way...
so just literally "moon sign" then as translation

and I take the crystal as being "healing crystals" but again a parody as "diet" implies they are eaten whereas they are usually just positioned on various key points of the body...
You should include the fact this is parody (intended to be funny) when asking questions
