cord ? I had translated it as chunhui (in italic) cord for the time being before I saw your posting. Perhaps we have to do with chunhui because there may be no English equivalent for it. The question should focus on what stands for in the textile world perhaps.

The immature flower bud, called a square, blossoms and develops into an oval boll that splits open at maturity, revealing a mass of long white seed hairs, called lint ... The length of the individual fibers ranges from 1.3 to 6 cm (0.5 to 2.5 in). Shorter fibers that grow from the seeds are called linters.
Natural fibers have a finite length, referred to as staple length.
..staple fibers must be carded to combine the fibers into a continuous ropelike form, combed to straighten the long fibers, and drawn out into continuous strands,

\"春辉条\"is a kind of all cotton FABRIC with a pattern of parallel bands or lines on a contrasting background.
The two words STRIPE and STRAND have different connotations.
STRIPE: 条纹
STRAND : 细丝,如纤维或细线

agree Denyce Seow : I found this too ;-) but it seems that "Chunhui stripe" is only used by this company. My guess: their translator didn't know how to translate it and so he/she simply gave it a pinyin name. Don't know... *shrugs* Let's see what the others say.
