I am seeking inspiration for this title for a Versailles baroque music project, with its obvious allusion to the Sun King
"Faire rayonner la musique française des XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles"
I am hoping to suggest using 'baroque' to make it less clunky.
And I am hoping for some peer suggestions which will get the message across in a snappy elegant way.
The revival, re-discovery slant has already been used, this is as it were stage two (spreading the word).
Here is the client's brief:
"C'est vraiment l'idée de faire rayonner / vivre / irradier / illuminer / transmettre / partager / mettre en lumière le patrimoine de la musique baroque française dans le monde entier. Ce slogan est donc très lié à notre logo qui a été conçu comme un soleil. Les rayons qui en émanent montrent la diffusion de la musique baroque française vers l'externe grâce aux activités (concerts, spectacles, recherche, etc.)."

I am aware that the Fr uses a verb but if it's a slogan, does the English really need a verb or a direct translation?
Lully, Rameau & co. are not exactly unknown quantities but are probably less well known by the general public than Bach, Purcell. Vivaldi, etc.
I view this as brainstorming more than an out and out right or wrong answer situation. So just see this as an idea or two.
The words highlight, focus on, spotlight also come to mind... but I'm not convinced about the use of a verb here.

I wouldn't go far from the French and as radiate may be used both for the sun's rays and for music and like rayonner, has both the ideas of to illuminate and to spread, I think it does the job. I wouldn't go for radiating though because it sounds unnatural.

I'm pretty sure of the meaning, but the choice of terms is endless. It would help to have the phrase before and the one after the sentence you have posted.
Think of the epxression "à rayonnement national", often used with the conservatoire in France, by the way. What will ultimately be tough here, with be retaining the "rayon"/"Roi soleil" match.
