Albanian term

përshpejtuar

Albanian to English Law/Patents Law (general) (idiom)
Would you say that përspejtuar here means premature/hasty/overhasty or just rapid? I don't see the premature option in my dictionaries (FESH and Newmark).

Ankohemi për vendimin e emigracionit shumë të përshpejtuar me arsyetimin tonë se ju si organ nuk e keni marr me seriozitet çështjen tonë

larserik (asker) May 23, 2017:
Not written by a lawyer The Albanian who wrote my text is the one who faces deportion, not a lawyer. So don't expect too much from his legal terminology. Nor from mine, my target text isn't English, as you might know. What I need is help to find the Swedish translation, and I got it. As a matter of fact, I try to stay away from legal English and US assignments. -- What constitutes a legal reason for a motion against a court decision of this kind, very often is unknown to the involved refugees. They write from their heart. -- Anyway, thanks a lot for your interest in my problem!
Iliana2010 May 23, 2017:
Formal complaint To my knowledge you cannot simpy complain about a formal court decision. When court decisions are involved, the only option is to file.motion to vacate a decision: this the only formal legal procedure.
But I see you chose "hasty". "A hasty decision" is not a legal argument that constitutes a legal reason to file a motion against such decision.
larserik (asker) May 23, 2017:
Iliana, Your second thought is correct - it's a formal complaint following a court decision, and the next sentence says, "You have not even had time to translate the documents you received."
Ledja May 18, 2017:
You've nailed it, larserik There would be no reasoning in the context other than the word is meant as vendim i "nxituar". Therefore, "hasty" is spot on.

I would say "overhasty" since in Albanian it says "shumë të përshpejtuar"

accelerated (decision)

In this context "përshpejtuar'' here means just rapid.
It is a decision taken in the accelerated procedure.

On second thought, it could also be "hasty" if there are no court procedures involved. You can decide better based on the whole text. This sentence alone is confusing because (a) it has not been formulated correctly in Albanian, and (b) it mentions the word "ankohemi". "If the term "ankohemi" may imply two things: 1.) a written complaint for an unfair decision taken by any institution (except courts), or 2.) a motion filed to vacate a court judgment.
So, it depends on the context.
