To explain my reply to Musab:

It is the connotation of استهزاء that I refer to here, not the connotation of agnoticism. استهزاء does not always refer to ridicule or mockery, it could mean taking something lightly or not taking it seriously. In that sense, one can consider that agnostics do not take religion seriously, or more accurately, they consider it irrelevant.

This discussion points to Miss Nahed the importance of providing context. The silver lining is that the ambiguity led to this interesting discussion. That is not a justification mind you.

neutral Musab Hayatli : I see your point, but it is given as the answer, and I still maintain that not believing does not necessarily mean that one mocks religion. One can NOT believe, but respect religion or religious belief!

Exactly, it depends on the connotation, and that is what I said. If you look up the connotation I gave, it is عدم اكتراث بالأديان
