German term

8-fach vernäht

German to English Tech/Engineering Textiles / Clothing / Fashion
Description of karate trousers - "8-fach vernäht, auch an den Ärmeln"

Reinforced stitching seems to be the most commonly used term but how can I get the "achtfach" across?

Anyone come across something similar before?

@ Ramey I'm on holiday but I'll add my 2 cents. You're the only one who got this. I would say, all seams reinforced 8 times. Or 8 reinforcement seams, including on sleeves.
Ramey Rieger (X) Sep 14, 2016:
To the 8th power! Just kidding...that's a hard one to get across elegantly. And since when do sleeves come on trousers?
How about:
Reinforced 8 times on all seams
8 reinforcement stitches

octuple-stitched

Would be a literal translation, although I am not entirely convinced that octuple-stitching is practically possible.
