Discussion

Masoud Kakouli Varnousfaderani (asker) Jul 9, 2016:
More context The event based AOP, ‘Natural Disaster Accident’, Section IV, Natural Disasters, Chapter 22 [69], specified the post-earthquake actions to be taken and provided instruction for carrying out those actions in response to an earthquake event. This procedure had three levels, based on the intensity seismic activity: 1–10 Gal; 10–45 Gal; and greater than 45 Gal. The seismic event on 11 March 2011 met the criterion for the highest level which, among other things, contained the following instructions: control room status check, responsibilities for performing structure, system and component (SSC) checks and general plant area walk-downs.

English term (edited): performing structure ... checks
Selected

carrying out checks on the structure etc.

I think you are confusing yourself with the parsing; 'structure' belongs with the other two items to make up waht seems to be a standard set of checks, SSC.

So what is being "performed' here is 'checks' — and the real expression to look at is: "responsibilities for performing [structure, system and component] checks"
