I am translating a contract for a hotel and there is a clause in which the customer cannot claim damages for "per la natura della cosa ovvero qualora il Cliente non denunci il deterioramento, la distruzione o la sottrazione dei beni immediatamente dopo la scoperta o la constatazione e, in ogni caso, prima di abbandonare i local"
This clause appears quite frequently in Italian law (as well as in French law) but I have not been able to find an English correspondence.

This would normally be claissifiable as an inherent defect without any need to specifiy the thing, chattel or land etc. at risk.
Example sentence:

: I'm not sure this is the meaning. Isn't the idea that there are no defects and the hotelier has not been negligent?
