Spanish term
Reunidos... de una parte XXX y XXX, de la otra XXX y XXX
Spanish to English
Bus/Financial
Law (general)
Lease
Hello,
I'm translating a contract and I'm a bit in doubt. I usually translate this as:
By and between,
XXX
and
XXX
However, each party is made up of two people in this case.
So I could use:
By and between,
XXX and XXX
and
XXX and XXX
or
By and between,
XXX and XXX
Party of the first part
and
XXX and XXX
Party of the second part
I'm not too crazy about either of these options. Which one would you choose? Thank you in advance!

By and between ... x of the (BrE) one/(AmE) first part & x of the (BrE) other/(AmE) second part

Reunidos: assembled in person vs. parties represented at a distance was used by my law firm in Madrid.
In the UK, the legal drafting convention for about 500 years - though ignored and even disputed by many translators - in contracts and deeds between two parties-only is: 'of the one part and of the other part'.
Of the first and second part - cf. the USA - would be incorrect (marks deducted in Bar Finals for bad legal drafting), as assumes there are further parties, namely third, fourth and fifth or more parties (e.g. necessary in purchase deeds of land where a mortagee and/or tenant for life join in the conveyance).
