Ho trovato questa definizione:

A distribution agreement where distribution expenses are deducted from gross receipts and the balance is then divided between the distributor and the Producer in agreed shares. Distributors′ fees are usually calculated on gross receipts but in this case the distributor′s share is effectively its fee, calculated on a lower base.

Non so se aiuterà, ma... I. Cinematic Rights:
Gross Receipts derived &om the exploitation of the Cinematic Rights (the "Cinematic Gross Receipts") shall be applied in the following order of priority:
Costs OR-TheTop Dent:
Distributor shall first deduct and retain from 100% (one hundred per ccntum) of the Cinematic Gross Receipts the Recoupable Distribution Costs that relate soleiy to the exploitation of the Cinematic Rights (the "Cinematic Recoupable Distribution Costs").
Following recoupment of the Cinematic Recoupable Distribution Costs, 50% of 100% (one hundred per centum) of the Cinematic Gross Receipts accrues to Distributor and 50% of 100% Cone hundred per
centum) of the Cinematic Gross Receipts accrues to Licensor until Distributor has recouped the Guarantee from Liccnsor's 50% share.

Gli accordi impostati sul margine netto, cosiddetti net deal, possono distinguersi in base alla forma di riparto dei flussi finanziari: forfettaria (cost-off the top) oppure dinamica, ossia a scaglioni. Con la prima le entrate vengono destinate prima di tutto alla copertura del minimo garantito e del lancio pubblicitario, poi alla distribuzione degli utili. Con la seconda il distributore trattiene, a valere sui primi introiti nelle sale, una cosiddetta tassa di distribuzione concordata anticipatamente e dedicata contrattualmente a coprire gli specifici costi indiretti del film sulla struttura del distributore; in seguito gli incassi vengono utilizzati a copertura delle spese dirette di distribuzione e soltanto dopo al ristorno tra i partner.
