@ Rafa, Douglas De fato, não tenho certeza quanto ao 'gilded catfish'. Pensei que o Jaú fosse chamado de dourada no norte. Mas é preciso mais pesquisa e mais opiniões de colegas para termos certeza. Quanto ao 'jaw characin" ou "golden dourado", é ele mesmo. Este vocês podem confiar.

@Mario, @Douglas, encontrei referências a esta dourada aqui. Acho que espécie que o Mário sugeriu como dourada é muito grande para a dourada do seu texto, Douglas. Pode chegar a 50 kg.

Neste blogue (http://plantarecultivaropinioes.blogspot.com.br/2009/05/dour... encontrei referência a outra dourada, Sparus aurata (https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sparus_aurata). Em inglês, gilt-head bream. Mas ele chega a 17 quilos! Não sei se é esse.
