I am struggling with on one hand, the idea that this is (by the given definition) a Good Thing, on the other, the fact that both the Polish term 'nadwyżka' and its English translation ('surplus') usually/mostly suggest an OVER-abundance of something, ie more than enough, with a hint of suggestion of it being not necessarily always a Good Thing. On the other hand, budget surplus is def a Good Thing, and so is food surplus - and in more abstract realm, redundancy in language isn't a bad one as we all know.
Saturation seems to have some of the same evaluative colouring, though without the suggestion of overflow.
